When your in-laws buy a place in Italy that that you end up “borrowing”, you’d be hard pressed to luck your way into a better area than Como. We have been fortunate enough to enjoy the spoils of their hard labor and have been happy to call their home our own while we are living here in Italy.
Lago di Como (Lake Como) is in the Lombardia region of Italy. A gem of a place located in Northern Italy, this area offers so much. In addition to a treasure trove of activities in our own backyard (from boating on the lake to discovering countless lakeside villages), this particular area is the perfect gateway to the rest of Italy and much of Europe. If our stamp of approval isn’t enough, George Clooney has made a villa on Lago di Como his “home away from home” – so we’ve got real “star power” behind us!
